Elizabethton/Carter County locations for school children to receive meals while out of school due to Coronavirus.
Elizabethton City Schools
Students ages 18 and under will be able to receive meals during the closure.
Modified times for meal pickup starting March 30, 2020.
Monday breakfast can be picked up from 9 am - 9:30 am and lunch from 12 pm- 12:45pm.
Tuesday- Friday lunch and breakfast for the following day can be picked up between 11:30 am- 12:30 pm.
East Side Elementary
Harold McCormick Elementary
West Side Elementary
Meals will be distributed using a car line pickup process in the parking lots. We encourage everyone to stay in their cars during the distribution process. Adults may also purchase a meal for $3.75. These cafeterias will not be open for sit-down meals.
Carter County Schools
Lunch will be provided throughout the closure to any child ages 0-18 at five locations in the county from Noon - 1:00pm.
Those locations include:
- Happy Valley Elementary School
- Hunter Elementary
- Hampton High
- Cloudland Elementary
- Little Milligan School
Children must be present to receive lunch. All school buildings will be closed to the public during this time.
The Confederate Railroad concert for Sunday, May 24th at 7pm at Elizabethton High School Gym has been canceled. Go Betsy, the sponsor of the concert, is hoping to reschedule.

Hunger & clothing is a real issue for many in our area from children to adult age. For ways to help, or for someone who needs help, click on the link below for more information on local Clothing/Food Pantries. **Due to Coronavirus, please call the organization in advance for availability or requirements. Some locations have varied their times open and are drive-through only.
